This summer, Ocean Explorer Dr. Robert Ballard and his team, whom you may know from their Titanic expeditions, will launch an exciting expedition on the E/V Nautilus to explore ancient history and learn more about the ocean. The expedition will take place in the Black Sea and Aegean Sea starting in June 2010. Nautilus expedition scientists will map the sea floor, study underwater volcanoes, investigate unusual life forms, explore shipwrecks, and more.

Titanic Memorial Held in Belfast.

Relatives of the victims of some of the 1,517 who died in the Titanic   disaster gathered at Belfast City Hall today to mark the 98th anniversary of the sinking. The ship, which was built in Belfast by Harland Wolff before meeting an icy grave on its maiden voyage on April 15th, 1912. - Story courtesy of the Irish Times.
