The quickening - a noticeable upsurge in activity around Titanic from her home

In recent weeks, if you have been in the area of Queens Island, Belfast, home to Harland & Wolff and the new home of Titanic SIgnature Project, you will see that the rather impressive looking Titanic Visitor Centre beginning to take real shape. Rising like a steel leviathan from a time gone before, it is the most significant physical development happening in Belfast today. Having been the largest ever concrete pour here, it will hopefully build on those solid foundations to continue to create tangible, credible and inspiring experiences. From these foundations we can engage as Belfast, justifiably celebrates and commemorates the incredible ship-building and industrial heritage of her past - giving us a lens through which to challenge our own preconceived ideas of our heritage, self and industrial landscape.
